Donna Schneider, RN, MBA, CPHQ, CHC, CHPC, CPC-P, CPCO, CCEP is a progressive, visionary healthcare executive with demonstrated accomplishments in corporate compliance, privacy, internal audit, managed care contracting, physician relations, and quality improvement. Donna is certified in healthcare quality, coding, compliance, privacy, and ethics. She has comprehensive experience in hospital operations, involvement in inpatient, and ambulatory and physician group practice management in an integrated healthcare delivery system. Donna also has managed care and self-insured employer group health plan experience in conjunction with a messenger model physician delivery network tenure. She is a registered nurse with an MBA and certifications in quality, coding, compliance, and privacy. Donna currently works for Lifespan as the Vice President, Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit, Lifespan Compliance & Privacy Officer. Lifespan is a (4) hospital system in RI comprised of (1) Level One Trauma Center; (2) Magnet Status Community Hospitals; and (1) Pediatric/Psych Hospital. Lifespan also includes 300+ clinics, 19 residential locations and 2,700 practicing/partnering Clinicians. Donna remains a member of the HCCA Boston Regional Conference Planning Committee, New England Internal Auditors (NEHIA) Board of Directors as President, and the Health Care Finance Administration RI/MA Board of Directors. She has spoken at numerous HCCA; NEHIA Conferences and an appearance on the Jon Gordon’s Positivity University podcast, Great Women in Compliance podcast and the HCCA “Compliance Perspectives” Podcast. Donna has authored several articles in the “HCCA Today” magazine on Compliance and a chapter in, “Core Functions of Revenue Integrity,” for the National Association of Healthcare Revenue Integrity. Donna serves on the Year Up Providence Board of Directors, has also been a mentor for Year Up Rhode Island, and since 2020 leads the Lifespan Year Up Mentor Program. Additionally, Donna remains the Secretary for the Niantic Chapter of Power of Together and serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for Kappa Alpha Theta sorority located at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT, although Donna is a Kappa Alpha Theta sorority graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she obtained both of her BSN and MBA degrees.
